’22 G Isaiah Philbert continued his hot shooting from the outside. He followed his seven 3PT’s Thursday with a game-winning three to help St. Ray’s reach the championship game. The first-year varsity player is showing he belongs. He continues to develop into a go-to prospect.
’23 G Ahmir Moore is a great complimentary piece to Isaiah and Tai. He’s a strong change of pace playmaker who seems to get downhill or knockdown timely jumpers. He serves as a secondary ball-handler who selects when is time to be aggressive or get others involved.
’25 G Tai Turnage is starting to draw a ton of attention, but his willingness to make the right play and not force the issue makes it tough for defenses to solely focus on him. Given the opportunity, he picked his spots to connect on the jumper and serve as a primary playmaker.
’24 G Johnuel ” Boogie” Fland started off slow but found his jumper midway through the first half. Boogie displayed his skills with the ball and soon found his comfort level on the floor.
’22 G Sam Gibbs looked determined on both ends to return back to the championship. Sam has improved as a playmaker and facilitator. Getting downhill he uses his body to hold off defenders and finish with either hand.
’23 F Ben Lyttle has always been an underrated forward. His activity helped set the tone early in the game. He played hard through the game and didn’t back down from South Shore’s size.
’25 G Danny Carbuccia changes the pace of the game with his confident play off the bench. His ability to create off the dribble and find the open man was impressive throughout the game.
