Floor Generals
Bennie Mcduffie Bennie Mcduffie 5'6" | PG Mandarin | 2022 State FL , 5’6 PG, North Florida United 2022(Pictured): McDuffie caught a lot of eyes, gained a lot of attention, and earned much deserved respect with his play on the basketball court this weekend. He commands the offense, controls the pace of the game with his elite speed with the ball, and is a great distributor of the basketball to his teammates. McDuffie impacts the game on the defensive end as well flying around the court, staying in front of ball handlers, and helping down on to bigs to get steals. Averaged 10.5 ppg and 6.5 apg this weekend.
Garrett Robertson Garrett Robertson 5'10" | PG Hutchinson | 2023 State KS , 5’10 G, Oz Elite-Haynes 2023: A knock down shooter on the perimeter with solid handle and composure in the back court. Has a really solid feel for the game an takes great shots, makes the extra pass when necessary, and can create off the bounce for others some. Good vision and IQ on the floor and makes the right play quite often.
Jalen Goar, 6’ PG, West Texas Blazers Basketball 2022: Really solid in the game I watched from this weekend in which he controlled the pace of the game, handled the ball in late game situations, knocked down clutch free throws, and contained the ball on defense. Has a good shot from distance and in the game I watched he hit multiple. Earned some NAIA offers after the weekend.
Trevor Mcbride Trevor Mcbride 6'2" | CG Basehor Linwood | 2022 State KS , 6’2 PG, SSA Elite 2022 Black: On a loaded guard roster with a ton of playmakers, McBride brings all of that plus the intangibles you want from your point guard. Great vision on the floor and anticipation when guys are coming open, makes the pass to set up the assist a ton, kicks the ball up the floor to start the break, and has a high basketball IQ. Hit a couple of jumpers off curl cuts, some tough runners off the glass, and hit a couple long balls to show off the offensive arsenal.
Avant Coleman, 6′ PG, Houston TTG 2022: Coleman was fun to watch hoop in Houston TTG’s big 30 point win over the weekend. He is athletically gifted and uses it to his advantage on the court. He plugs gaps, helps on defense, mirrors ball handlers, and gets a ton of deflections and steals. He commands a lot of attention on the basketball floor, makes a ton of energy plays for his guys, and gets himself and others going in transition.
