Ranking the top 10 college prospects in Wisconsin, regardless of class, going into the July evaluation period...

1. [player_tooltip player_id="1089678" first="Tayshawn" last="Bridges"] - 2024 - SG - Milwaukee Academy of Science

The fact that Bridges is young, helps get him to the top of the list, but he’s an extremely advanced prospect who many consider a top five player in the 2024 class right now. Bridges already holds scholarship offers from Maryland, Iowa, Florida State, Auburn, and others. An explosive scorer who can thrive at all three levels, Bridges has the tools, athleticism, and killer instinct you look for in a high-level guard/wing prospect. Bridges was varsity ready as a freshman at Brookfield East last season and handled a loaded Greater Metro Conference. Although he was only there about half the season, Bridges exceeded expectations on the floor.

2. [player_tooltip player_id="953944" first="Milan" last="Momcilovic"] - 2023 - F - Pewaukee

Was always high on Momcilovic, but after the Spiece Run N’ Slam, I’m becoming a big believer. Love the way he goes about his business. Not a guy that’s gonna say a word, just gonna kick your butt, and jog back to the other end of the floor. Momcilovic is a 6-foot-8 stretch forward that’s working to become a combo forward. He’s a deadly outside shooter, but can handle the ball in transition and get coast-to-coast. Recently picking up his first offer from Marquette, Momcilovic needs to get stronger and improve his interior defense/rebounding, but offensively, he’s a silent assassin.

3. [player_tooltip player_id="727955" first="Jeffery" last="Brazziel"] - 2022 - W - Martin Luther

Don’t have Brazziel ranked as the top prospect in the 2022 class, but I think when you’re talking about positional size and ability, skillset, and ability to adapt to the college game, Brazziel may translate better. A silky smooth, plus-length wing who can absolutely fill it up as a scorer, Brazziel has a rather unique game with still plenty of ceiling left. Also been really impressed by Brazziel’s ability to blend a high amount of talent over the last two years. He is a scorer, but certainly doesn’t feel the need to go get ’his’ each time he steps on the floor. Don’t think this kid gets enough credit for how good of a teammate he’s developed into and guys truly want to see him have success. Sounds like Marquette is pushing hard to keep the 6-foot-5 wing at home.

4. [player_tooltip player_id="1129756" first="Seth" last="Trimble"] - 2022 - PG - Menomonee Falls

Trimble has offers from North Carolina, Michigan, Wisconsin, Indiana, Illinois, Marquette, USC, and others. Think he’s a guy that can thrive in multiple systems. Sure, Trimble is exciting when he gets into the open floor and is easily the best leaper I’ve seen since his brother, J.P. Tokoto, played at Falls. But, Trimble is also a high-IQ floor general that makes good decisions in the halfcourt and makes others around him better. The knock on Trimble early was the outside shot. Think he’s more than alleviated those concerns after a big junior season.

5. [player_tooltip player_id="761404" first="Leon" last="Bond"] - 2022- SF - Wauwatosa East
[caption id="attachment_1017117" align="alignright" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="761404" first="Leon" last="Bond"][/caption]
Based on pure upside, Bond could be at the top of this list. The 6-foot-5 junior is a raw, but athletic wing that contributes in a variety of ways. Bond has just progressively gotten better and better over the last three years and has drastically improved his mid-range jumper. As exciting as he is athletically, Bond has a blue collar nature about him and is willing to defend, rebound, make hustle plays, etc. Bond is a prospect that just ’gets it’ and doesn’t rely solely on his measurables for his success and is also extremely coachable. Virginia Tech and Marquette both have offers on the table for Bond heading into July.

6. [player_tooltip player_id="1142123" first="Kon" last="Knueppel"] - 2024 - SG - Wisconsin Lutheran

Probably still have Knueppel under-ranked in 2024, but haven’t seen much of him live just yet. The fact that he’s in the top five, should tell you what I think of the film. Marquette recently jumped on board with an offer. A sweet-shooting, three-level scorer, Knueppel can fill it up and is a pure scorer. He’s already about 6-foot-3 and has a knack for generating just about any shot he wants on the floor at times. Also have a feeling that he’s a lot more athletic than he appears. Knueppel is also pretty wiry around the rim and has some unique ability to finish amongst the trees, even if he’s not playing above the rim.

7. [player_tooltip player_id="1089679" first="Nas" last="Beamon"] - 2024 - PG - Martin Luther

Beamon is coming off a strong freshman year at Martin Luther. Good body, aggressive downhill point guard who can score and facilitate. Measurables and instincts are there to be a nice two-way player. Tough, acrobatic finisher at the rim who can find ways to penetrate against multiple defenders. Consistency as a jumper shooter and ability to see the floor/drive and dish will be two areas of improvement going forward.

8. [player_tooltip player_id="1089682" first="Nick" last="Janowski"] - 2024 - G/W - Pewaukee

Janowski has always been intriguing to me, because I’m not sure what he is. You can realistically see him playing and thriving at three different positions, including point guard. A 6-foot-3 lefty with a smooth mid-range game, Janowski is one of the best shot creators in his class. He’s deadly from all areas of the floor. Pewaukee would also let him loose at times in transition and allow him to make decisions on the fly. Wasn’t always great defensively, but when you’re talking about a freshman being thrown into the fire on one of the state’s best teams in one of the toughest conferences, he exceeded expectations there and there’s a noticeable want-to on that end of the floor.

9. [player_tooltip player_id="1142118" first="Amari" last="McCottry"] - 2024 - SF - St. Thomas More

Another guy if we’re talking pure upside, belongs higher on this list. McCottry is a physical, high motor wing/forward type prospect. Simply put, he’s an alpha every time he steps on the floor. McCottry doesn’t fear anybody and wants to dominate. Ball handling skills for his size/age make him very tough to stop. He’s a break-you-down dibble penetrator that’s going to come at you relentlessly. Shows some really nice flashes with a pull-up mid-range game and McCottry can also dominate on the offensive glass.

10. [player_tooltip player_id="801135" first="Steven" last="Clay"] - 2022 - SG - Menomonee Falls

Plus-length shot maker with a lot of promise. Clay has power-five offers from TCU and Maryland. The 6-foot-6 wing has some really long arms and tight handles, which allows him to create rhythm jumpers with ease. Doesn’t get enough credit for his defense either. Clay can play the passing lanes and use his length to block/alter a lot of shots as well. Clay is lanky, but he’s also a plus athlete that’s improved his body and physicality. Think he’s a potential hidden gem in the 2022 class nationally.

Notable: [player_tooltip player_id="951467" first="Prentice" last="Young"], [player_tooltip player_id="727964" first="Jack" last="Rose"], [player_tooltip player_id="761417" first="Danilo" last="Jovanovich"], [player_tooltip player_id="801149" first="Jackson" last="Paveletzke"], [player_tooltip player_id="950096" first="Donovan" last="Short"], [player_tooltip player_id="801136" first="Maximus" last="Nelson"], [player_tooltip player_id="953943" first="John" last="Kinziger"], [player_tooltip player_id="963148" first="Cal" last="Klesmit"], [player_tooltip player_id="981000" first="Riley" last="Brooks"]
