Travon Cooper (Puma 1 of 1 Elite Black; G/F)
Cooper had the nigh-high of 28 points and was easily the most impressive player I saw on Friday. He has great athletic ability, size and strength. He moves very well without the ball to find great openings in the defense. He made some really nice cuts on the baseline. His performance was highlighted by a few big dunks as well.
Jerimiah Hale (B3 Athletics; G)
Hale was probably the most efficient shooter on Friday, finishing with 24 points. He hit five 3’s and did so with little room given by the defense. His ability to get his shot off was impressive. He scored in multiple ways, however. On 3’s, in transition, at the rim, at the free throw line. Hale is an athletic wing who has good length and good offensive tools.
Mason Struck Mason Struck 6'6" | PF Chesaning | 2024 State MI (Tri-County Cobras; F)
Struck was impressive with the way he was able to use his body and finish through contact. He has good size for his age but he doesn’t strictly rely on it. He has good feel around the basket in addition to his soft touch and footwork. Struck has good athleticism as well which showed a few times on pick and roll opportunities. He finished with 14 point in Tri-County Cobras’ opener.
Gio Lutfy Gio Lutfy 6'2" | SG Lutheran North | 2024 State MI (Michigan Goonies; F)
Lutfy is a fluid athlete who can have underrated athleticism at times. He has tremendous length and size that allows him to play inside or out. He has a very good shooting stroke and ability to get his shot off quick. He tends to play at his own speed and not let opponents speed him up. I think he could look for his shot even more and be more aggressive at times, too. He started his weekend with 17 points.
