Strong as they come, Chester was dominant in a 25-point showcase against Verdigris.
Chester is still mobile, if not graceful, in spite of his powerful frame, and he has the skill, most importantly, to execute a catalog of post moves — although he certainly had his share of using brute-force to get to the rim, as well.
Altogether, Chester is an offensive safe-bet, and his fellow Wolverines relied on him to take and finish good shots or pass it back out to a wing. He also helped TJ Bennett TJ Bennett 5'11" | PG Garber | 2021 State OK t get open to hit five 3-pointers in the match, and Verdigris could hardly spare an answer for his talents.
Jawan Mukes Jawan Mukes 5'8" | PG OKC Storm | 2022 OK | 2022 OKC Storm North PG
Mukes was in full-force Friday afternoon against Adair, scoring 18 points against the Warriors and dishing out well-distributed passes to teammates.
He enacted one euro-step, in particular, that may have been the best sell I have seen between his foot-work and eye-work.
Caleb McKinney | 2022 Tulsa Hale G
En route to a 21-point performance against Locust Grove, McKinney showed off his full-range of skills on both ends of the floor.
He stands about 6-foot-1-inches, although he plays taller, and he did a good job of handling the ball away from the defense and creating separation for himself to hit shots. McKinney took the ball to the rim well, finished and also drew defenders towards him to pass it around.
Defensively, he was very handsy and led to or contributed in numerous steals and deflections throughout the game, all while guarding players of different positions and statures.
Ty Duncan | 2022 Adair PG
The facilitator extraordinaire distributed the ball very well against OKC Storm, but it was his scoring that set him apart.
Duncan’s 7-point fourth-quarter effort helped to push the Warriors past OKC Storm in the second round.
Lucas Lechlider | 2022 Verdigris C
Though he struggled with foul-trouble early, Lechlider, when he was playing, had a big impact for the Cardinals.
Primarily, Lechlider played the role of a rebound-and-return man for Verdigris as he habitually put-back missed 3-point and mid-range attempts from teammates, allowing those players ultimately to find a rhythm without the fear of missed shots turning into points for Garber.
