Caleb Oden 6’4 Wing, Dublin
Oden is a long armed prospect with plenty of upside to his game. If there’s a season he’ll be depended upon to produce for his team. He can hit the set 3ptr from the wings and corner, he’s a good rebounder who can lead the transition break, he’ll take care of the ball, and make solid passes to teammates. Oden has a nice dribble drive pullup jumper working from the wings. He can play the post as well. He’s long, and can defend taller players in the post, and the wings.
Gurbir Grewal 6’6, Forward Pittman
At first glance Grewal doesn’t jump out at you, but at 6’6 he’s a smart player who doesn’t make a lot of mistakes, he fills a role that’s useful to his team. He has a good shot in close, he can hit the short corner jumper, and the 3 on occasion. He’s an okay defender in the post, and will rebound with good outlet passes to start the break. He does need to be a bit more aggressive.
Malik Kaba 6’4 Wing, Oakland Tech
Kaba a long armed defender will make his mark defending and blocking shots, he’s a bit undersized for the post, but effective. His offensive skills need some polishing up out on the wings, and in the post area, nevertheless he’s aggressive going after rebounds on both ends. He has a quick second jump for put backs, and he defends taller players inside, and can guard on the wings. He has good shot blocking abilities at 6’4.
Spencer Lin 6’3 Wing, Menlo Atherton.
Lin is a high IQ prospect, not a lot of flash to his game, he makes the right decisions with the ball. He’s a ball mover, if he doesn’t have a catch and shoot opportunity he’ll quickly move it. He can spot up in the corner for 3. He’ll fill the lanes in transition, very seldom out of control. A good help defender.
Breckin Beaman Breckin Beaman 5'11" | CG Sacramento Adventist | 2021 State CA-N 6’0 Guard, Sacramento Adventist.
I only observed him play on Sunday. Beaman is one of NorCal’s top scorers at his small school in Sacramento, so I know he can put points on the boards. At this event he was a bit more well rounded. He plays with lots of energy, made good solid passes to teammates, and he worked hard on the defensive end.
