Jordan Johnson Jordan Johnson 6'2" | CG Elkhorn | 2021 State WI (6’1 2021 CG, Elkhorn)- It’s only right to start with the returning conference player of the year, as the Minnesota State-Moorhead commit is back for his senior season. Jordan did it all last season, averaging 24 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game while playing both guard spots. He has a flashy style of play, with the ability to break his man down off the dribble and either create space for the jumper or blow by him and get to the rim. In the open floor he has some explosiveness, and can also finish with craft in the half-court setting. Add in the fact that he shot over 40% from three last season, and he’s an incredibly dangerous scorer.
Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI (6’4 2022 SG, Westosha Central)- Who’s most likely to challenge Johnson for POTY honors? That would likely be Jack Rose Jack Rose 6'5" | SG Westosha Central | 2022 State #213 Nation WI . The junior guard holds offers from Toledo, Milwaukee, and SIU-E, because he’s a true competitor who is also a skilled scorer. He averaged an impressive 17.5 points and 5.6 rebounds per game as just a sophomore, numbers that he could see increase along with more efficient shooting percentages. Jack has size at the 2-guard spot that most high school teams can’t match, meaning he’s able to pick his spot on the floor and shoot over the contest from either mid-range or three. His ability to get a good look off limited dribbles is among the best in the state, and that, combined with his effort on the glass, makes him a D1 level prospect.
Kenny Garth Kenny Garth 6'2" | CG Westosha Central | 2022 State WI (6’2 2022 CG, Westosha Central)- Kenny was one of the biggest stock risers in the state last winter, and there’s good reason why he’s receiving interest at the D1 and D2 levels. At 6’2 he has solid size and long arms to play either guard spot, and he scored an efficient 12 ppg last season while shooting 37.5% from three. The lefty is a shifty ball handler who brings a touch of flair to the game with his ability to create space. Kenny also averaged 2.9 assists per game last year, and that number still doesn’t reflect just how good of a passer he is, as he’s able to find and exploit the smallest gaps in the defense to set his teammates up for easy looks.
Isaiah Hoyt Isaiah Hoyt 6'1" | CG Wilmot | 2021 State WI (6′ 2021 PG, Union Grove)- Isaiah Hoyt Isaiah Hoyt 6'1" | CG Wilmot | 2021 State WI is perhaps the biggest mystery on this list, as he had to miss last season due to transfer rules. His most recent season saw him average 11.4 points and 3.2 assists while shooting 40% from 3P in the always tough Metro Classic Conference, and if he has continued to progress, he could be in line for a big senior year. Isaiah is able to run the point with a great feel for the game and unselfish playstyle, while also stretching the floor with deep shooting range. As a sophomore he did a good job with his ball security, limiting his turnovers while putting his teammates in position to score. Isaiah is also an underrated athlete, as his bounce off two feet may surprise you.
London Glass (6′ 2021 PG, Wilmot)- One of the more under-the-radar players in the area, London Glass simply produces on the floor. He averaged 19.9 ppg as a junior, good for second in the conference, while also chipping in with 3.9 rpg, 3.2 apg, and 2.3 spg. London plays with a nice change of pace, which allows him to create for himself and teammates off the dribble. He’s a dangerous player once he gets in the lane because he has the ability to stop on a dime and shoot, or use his creativity to thread the needle and find a teammate for an open look. Expect big numbers from London as a senior.
Joey Berezowitz (5’9 2021 PG, Burlington)- Though undersized, Joey Berezowitz may just be the best shooter you don’t know about. Joey made 1st team all conference last year by averaging 15.6 ppg and shooting an accurate 42.7% from beyond the arc. He has range that extends well beyond the arc, and the confidence to fire off, and make, shots with a hand right in his face. Joey is also extremely quick, which allows him to shake off his defender and get to the rim when guarding him too tight, meaning they have to take a “pick your poison” approach when guarding him. Expect him to build upon his strong junior year.
Tyson Skalecki (6’5 2022 F, Union Grove)- Tyson really had a coming out party towards the end of last season against Elkhorn, shooting 7-9 from deep for a 21 point performance. For most of the season he rarely played, but he ended up shooting 19/40 from three on the year. After a solid summer with World Hoops Elite , he looks ready to take on a bigger role for the Broncos who graduated most of their top contributors. At around 6’5 he’ll likely be their tallest player, but may also be their best shooter, allowing him to play in the paint or stretching the floor on the wing.
Danny Kniep Danny Kniep 6'5" | PF Burlington | 2023 WI (6’6 2023 F, Burlington)- Danny figures to be one of the top frontcourt players in the league over the next three seasons, coming off a freshman season in which he averaged 6.7 points and 6.6 rebounds per game. He also had a strong summer with JH1 Elite, one of the top 15u teams in the state. Danny has solid size and a nice array of post moves that allow him to score around the rim when left isolated on the block. Kniep is also a hard worker on the glass, and poses a threat to score from beyond the arc as well.
