The 2020-21 season is less than 2 weeks away and we continue looking ahead to the year with season previews. Here’s a look at some of the most talented rosters inside the city of Louisville. They are presented in alphabetical order.

Ballard: At the guard spots, you’ve got [player_tooltip player_id="932772" first="Jack" last="Edelen"] and [player_tooltip player_id="932766" first="Gabe" last="Sisk"] leading the team. Big man [player_tooltip player_id="926882" first="Maker" last="Bar"] is back patrolling the front court and offering rim protection. [player_tooltip player_id="692954" first="Kennedy" last="Hayden"] should get a chance to see the floor a lot after waiting his turn for 2 years and [player_tooltip player_id="801616" first="DJ" last="Tilford"] should carve out a role for himself in his Junior season.

Eastern: The loss of [player_tooltip player_id="926883" first="James" last="Jewell"] looms large but the cupboard is not bare in Middletown. Junior Point Guard [player_tooltip player_id="692942" first="Christian" last="Spalding"] will run the show again this season. [player_tooltip player_id="793823" first="Ben" last="Craig"] is the unsung hero for the Eagles and Sophomore transfer [player_tooltip player_id="1022271" first="Sosthene" last="Kamba"] will do his best to fill the role left by the transfer of Jewell. The Junior class of [player_tooltip player_id="926913" first="Charlie" last="Storm"], Stacey Anderson and Chivion Ashby contribute guard depth and Sophomore [player_tooltip player_id="932791" first="Isaiah" last="Cook"] should be able to play next to Spalding as well as give him breaks.

Fern Creek: Maybe the best roster in the city, even after losing Zek Montgomery to a prep school in California. [player_tooltip player_id="1038878" first="Darrius" last="Washington"], [player_tooltip player_id="922990" first="Jaden" last="Rogers"] and [player_tooltip player_id="922998" first="Cearius" last="Warren"] all have D1 level ability and athleticism. [player_tooltip player_id="926893" first="Darien" last="Lewis"] had a big summer and looks primed for a big season. [player_tooltip player_id="926899" first="Andru" last="Markham"] is a capable replacement for Montgomery on the wing. If they get some bench production, the Tigers should be favored to win the 6th again.

Jeffersontown: J-Town continues to reload every offseason. [player_tooltip player_id="793767" first="Jaylen" last="Fairman"] is back for his second season running the team. Transfers [player_tooltip player_id="926886" first="Turrell" last="Cleaves Jr."], [player_tooltip player_id="638872" first="Gage" last="Mabry"] and [player_tooltip player_id="714507" first="Zavian" last="Jackson"] have big time upside. Wing [player_tooltip player_id="926894" first="Casey" last="Steadmon"] should have a chance to breakout after a modest Sophomore year. The loss of Brandon Rayzer-Moore hurts but this is still a very talented roster.

Male: You’d think graduating a bunch of college players would set a program back but these Dogs just reload. [player_tooltip player_id="932764" first="Kaleb" last="Glenn"] and [player_tooltip player_id="923001" first="Cam" last="Pope"] are certified D1 players. [player_tooltip player_id="1065569" first="Meechie" last="White"], [player_tooltip player_id="1022262" first="Kyran" last="Tilley"] and [player_tooltip player_id="932785" first="Jamal" last="Chambers"] combine to be a really strong group of 2023 guards. [player_tooltip player_id="922999" first="Dez" last="Lindsay"] is an X factor with his ability to score the ball inside and out. [player_tooltip player_id="923049" first="Trey" last="Stone"] is one of the more underrated players in the city. Top to bottom, Male has just as much talent as last season.
