Cameron Andre-Covington Cameron Andre-Covington 6'9" | PF Columbia Christian | 2021 State OR (2021 Columbia Christian)
Andre-Covington was originally ranked in the class as a freshman at Benson so it’s a matter of getting him back on since he’s returned to Portland at Columbia Christian. At 6-foot-9, long, lanky, and athletic, there’s no question he looks like a Division I player when he walks in the gym. Andre-Covington is still putting it all together on the basketball floor but shoots a nice looking jumper with range and has the ability to finish at and defend the rim.
Spencer Lanier Spencer Lanier 6'5" | SF Newberg | 2021 State OR (2021 Newberg)
Lanier emerged as a junior at Newberg, averaging 9.6 points and 6.0 rebounds on his way to earning First Team All-Pacific League honors. While he plays post for the Tigers and has a very nice touch around the hoop (.608 FG%), he showed a more versatile offensive game in club basketball with International Elite as he can hit open catch-and-shoot threes and create a bit off the dribble. Lanier also does a good job on the offensive glass and does a lot of the little things like win 50/50 loose balls and hustle on defense.
Jasper Phipps (2021 South Salem)
Phipps was a key reserve for South Salem’s state tournament squad in 2019-20. The 6-foot-1 combo guard is a knockdown shooter with deep range (almost 44 percent from three) but can also create off the dribble not only for himself but for others. With the Saxons graduation losses, Phipps will have a much bigger role this season.
Bennet Bos (2021 Salem Academy)
Bos is a no-nonsense, competitive high-motor player who does a lot of the little things on the basketball floor that may otherwise go unnoticed. The 6-foot-3 wing averaged 16 points and 9 rebounds and is a versatile offensive player, capable of using his strong frame around the hoop or stepping out and hitting perimeter shots.
Kevin Sanchez (2021 Crook County)
Sanchez had an outstanding senior season, earning Intermountain Conference Player of the Year and Second Team 5A honors. The 6-foot-2 combo guard averaged 17.1 points and 5.3 rebounds, and is a creative scorer, can get hot from three-point range, and is a good rebounder for his size.
