Havoc in the Heartland has come and gone and over this past weekend we saw some great prospects. Today, we take a look at some underrated performances from this event.

[player_tooltip player_id="783160" first="Blake" last="Barker"] – 6’2 PG 2021 – Columbus North (IN) / EG10 2021

Barker is a tough guard with a big frame. Did not score a ton but did a lot of things to help his team out. Was tough on the rebounds and made some crucial defensive plays. Got to the rim pretty easily as well. I feel like Blake is a player that does not get as much attention as he should. Real aggressive player that can run the point and overall has a well balanced game.

Nevin White – 6’2 SG 2021 – Prp (Kentucky) / Southern Indiana Blaze 2021

White is a tall and thin shooting guard that has a ton of toughness to him. Has a real good motor and always looked to be playing his hardest. Good rebounder that often led to fastbreak plays. Had a couple of blocks on the defensive end. Also showed off a nice jumper with a 3 off the catch. Love the energy this player has and the toughness he brings to the game.

[player_tooltip player_id="870274" first="Grant" last="Ott-Large"] – 6’4 SF/PF 2022 – La Porte (IN) / EG10 2022

Ott-Large is an undersized forward that is a good post player. Real powerful and has great footwork down low. Has a bruising playing style and is pretty creative with his scoring at times. Ott-Large is on a team that allows him to do his own thing. May need to slim down just a tad but right now he is as productive as any.

Dejuan Echoles – 6’3 SG/SF 2022 – Warren Central (IN) / Team Future 2022

Echoles is a player that is strong and freakishly athletic. Little raw right now but can defend and rebound well. His offense can be a little all over the place but he showed that he has the ability to shoot and drive. Might end up being a football player long term but Echoles is one of the most athletic players in the state. Real interested to see how his basketball game develops these next 2 years.

[player_tooltip player_id="870293" first="Drew" last="Adzia"] – 5’10 PG 2022 – Crown Point (IN) / Indiana Game Select 2022

Adzia is a smaller lead guard who is pretty quick and smart. Great shooter that can also drive through contact. Pretty creative and can dish the ball well to his teammates. Tough player all-around that does not let his size hold him back. Already playing at a high level and his game should keep improving. Keep an eye on this prospect.

Eric Price – 6’8 C 2022 – 21st Century (IN) / Indiana Game Select 2022

Price is a huge post player with pretty good moves around the rim. One of the smarter bigs I saw over the weekend as far as play making. Tried to step out and shoot it a little but his jumper really was not falling. Probably needs to work on cutting his weight down some more which should give him a little bit more speed. Overall, Price has the size and the skill to be a solid post player moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="769660" first="Antonio" last="Lisenbee Jr."] – 6’7 PF 2022 – Avon (IN) / EG10 2022

Lisenbee is a long, lanky wing with tons of athleticism and explosiveness. Great defensively especially with his shot blocking. Still a bit raw but his offense looked solid overall. Pretty good on the pull-up jumper. Great in transition but will need to see more from his half-court game. Huge amount of upside in Lisenbee when he becomes a complete player.

Myles Yekich – 5’8 PG 2023 – Lake Central (IN) / Indiana Game Select 2023

Yekich was arguably the most overlooked player just because of the team he was on. Very small lead guard right now but can really do a ton things offensively. Jumper is solid but is best when he can drive. Nice floater and had a tough and1. Also is a surprisingly good rebounder as well. Should grow some more and when/if he does, his game should takeoff to the next level.
