Eastern Washington is not shy about their efforts in recruiting in state talent and Smith has officially become one of their top in state targets for the 2022 class.

2022 6’1 PG [player_tooltip player_id="674438" first="Maleek" last="Arington"] (Auburn HS) also collected his first Division 1 offer on June 15th with the Montana Grizzlies coming through with the scholarship offer. Arrington put together a strong sophomore season and has been aggressively attacking his workouts during the pandemic.

2022 6’2 CG [player_tooltip player_id="674422" first="Koren" last="Johnson"] (Garfield HS) has collected two new offers with Pepperdine and Washington State offering the number 192 nationally ranked sophomore. He has reportedly also heard from Arizona and Cincinnati since the contact period has opened up for members of the 2022 class.

2022 6’7 SF [player_tooltip player_id="674427" first="Quin" last="Patterson"] (Mt. Si HS) has received his first offer from Division 2 Point Loma Nazarene. One of the state’s top shooters, Patterson has slowly, but surely continued to see his stock rise over the course of the last year.

2022 5’11 PG [player_tooltip player_id="674432" first="Bennett" last="O’Connor"] (Mt. Si HS) also received an offer from Point Loma Nazarene. The high IQ point guard has been an impact player for freshman since his freshman season and will step into a much bigger role this upcoming year.

2022 6’7 SF [player_tooltip player_id="674421" first="Tyler" last="Mrus"] (Seattle Prep) received his first Division 1 offer from Cal Poly. The number two ranked 2022 in the state has a pretty high ceiling and potential as a versatile wing at the next level.

2022 6’7 PF [player_tooltip player_id="674420" first="Tyler" last="Linhardt"] (King’s HS) is the state’s number one prospect right now and he has added another offer to his list with hometown University of Washington offering the 1A state tournament MVP.

2022 6’9 PF [player_tooltip player_id="674436" first="Cooper" last="Church"] (Tahoma HS) picked up his second Division 1 offer with UC San Diego recently offering. He also holds an offer from Eastern Washington.

2022 6’5 SG [player_tooltip player_id="674428" first="Tre" last="Blassingame"] (Auburn HS) received calls from Washington State, Idaho State, Montana, Montana State, UCSB and Boise State. Blassingame is a player with a high ceiling that will certainly reel in some offers in due time.

2021 Sleeper Gets First Offer

2021 6’5 SF [player_tooltip player_id="711293" first="Isaac" last="Ticeson"] (Eastside Catholic HS) has long been a sleeper in Washington’s 2021 class, but no longer is this the case! Point Loma Nazarene offered Ticeson, the number 16 ranked rising senior in the state. At 6’5, he is bouncy, active and unassuming on both sides of the ball, but he flat out gets it done. *Feature image
