The change in the recruiting cycle is going to be a big change for everyone. Right as we thought we were going to be getting out on the road, we get shut down. So, in order to spend as much effort as we can in getting players seen, we are going to do what we call, 3-Packs.

With these, we want to highlight 3 players who are similar in class and position. Get some time to dive into some quick thoughts, stat breakdowns, and film. Today, we are looking at 2021 Small Forwards in [player_tooltip player_id="874126" first="Deshon" last="Burnett"], [player_tooltip player_id="963899" first="Tai" last="McClung"], and [player_tooltip player_id="963903" first="Malachi" last="Pearson"].

[player_tooltip player_id="874126" first="Deshon" last="Burnett"] – 6’3 SF 2021 – Andrean (IN)
Stats: 7.0 ppg, 3.6 rpg, 2.0 apg
Thoughts: <span data-sheets-value="{"1":2,"2":"Burnett is a tall wing that has developed his ball handling enough to see his stock rise here. He is starting to utilize it more from the wing and had some really good drives against guards and wings. He knocked down a triple but his touch isn’t quite there yet. Rebounding looked really solid and is tough because he has a ton of strength and length to play with. Do want to see him become a better shooter and stretch his offense out."}" data-sheets-userformat="{"2":33569707,"3":{"1":0},"4":[null,2,16777215],"6":{"1":[{"1":2,"2":0,"5":[null,2,14277081]},{"1":0,"2":0,"3":1},{"1":1,"2":0,"4":1}]},"8":{"1":[{"1":2,"2":0,"5":[null,2,12040119]},{"1":0,"2":0,"3":1},{"1":1,"2":0,"4":1}]},"10":1,"11":3,"12":0,"14":[null,2,0],"15":"Montserrat","16":6,"28":1}">Burnett is a tall wing that has developed his ball-handling enough to see his stock rise here. For him to take his name to the next level, he needs to develop his shooting and stretch out his offense.

[player_tooltip player_id="963899" first="Tai" last="McClung"] – 6’4 SF 2021 – Mississinewa (IN)
Stats: 15.0 ppg, 6.7 rpg, 2.9 apg
Thoughts: McClung is a strong presence inside with his big body. He has shown a plethora of post moves inside, and he can finish with the best of them. He has shown the physicality down low to excel in the post. He is an aggressive rebounder on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor. He could be facing a breakout season during his senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id="963903" first="Malachi" last="Pearson"] – 6’4 SF 2021 – Logansport (IN)
Stats: 12.1 ppg, 6.2 rpg, 3.0 apg, 37% 3pt
Thoughts: Pearson is a top-level scorer for the Berries. He has a very quick release in the catch and shoot, but he struggles to create his own shot at times. He finishes well inside and gets to the rack with ease. He has a big chance to have a breakout senior season this upcoming year, and he should get some offers at the D3 level.
