Aidan Falls Aidan Falls 6'1" | PG Ponderosa | 2020 State CA-N is a lethal guard from deep and displayed that throughout his high school career and AAU. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound guard will further his academic and athletic career at Simpson University.
“I went on an official visit and as soon as I stepped on campus, everyone welcomed me with open arms. I felted the love right away and everyone was excited to have me on campus. It felt like home immediately and I’m just excited to get there with the guys and get to work”, said Falls.
From the start of contact, the Redhawks were on top of the list for Falls. “I had the opportunity to watch them play and they are a really gritty team and I saw the energy that everyone played with and I wanted to be apart of that”.
With the addition of Falls, the Redhawks will be an even more exciting team to watch. Simpson graduates a phenomenal shooter of Blake Trent and Falls looks to fill in that spot immediately. The Redhawks qualified for the Cal Pac tournament after finishing fourth in the conference. Unfortunately, the season for Simpson ended with a loss to Antelope Valley during the semi-finals. The scrappy Redhawks have been to the conference tournament three years in a row and Falls looks to help them go even further.
The senior has demonstrated dramatic growth in his game. This season, the hard work that Falls put in, finally paid off. Falls helped Ponderosa to a 7-3 league record to capture the Foothill Valley League Championship title for the second season in a row. “We started off really slow with us being a new team but all the adversity really brought us together as a group. The chemistry started to get stronger and we started to win more games”, said Falls.
Aidan has been astronomical for the Bruins with his playmaking abilities and craftiness. The lefty can scorch the ball from way beyond the arc, finishing his senior season with 100 made 3-pointers. To cap off his senior season, the guard averaged 18.5 points, 2.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 1.3 steals per contest.
The confidence level continues to grow for Falls. All season long, Aidan has been a forceful threat for the opposing team. Falls showcased multiple games ending with 25 or more points and one double-double game. Ending his senior season strong, Falls was awarded First Team All-League Honors.
The Redhawk commit is always finding a way to prepare himself for his opportunities. “I’ve really been getting in the weight room, working on my body, getting stronger, working on sprints. I’ve really been working on my defense both physically and mentally to prepare myself for any role that is given to me”, said Falls.
Falls continues to captivate the attention of many. The lefty-guard plays with a lot of passion. He leaves everything on the floor, playing 100% on both ends of the court. Aidan is a player who loves the game and will do anything for his team while helping them get wins.
