Michael Casper – Merrill
Casper is having a huge senior season, posting 21.2 ppg for an 11-4 Merrill squad. Committed to Division 2 Bemidji State, Casper has lit it up from 3-point range this season, with multiple games of four or more triples. All season, Casper has been torching defenders if given any sort of space.
Tonnie Gregory – Milwaukee Madison
This kid just plays his tail off every time out. Even though Madison is 1-12, Gregory always gives a big time effort. A strong, athletic guard that also defends at a high level, Gregory is averaging 17.9 ppg as a senior.
Stevie Henderson – Racine Park
Henderson has had some big games in front of us. The 6-foot-3 shooting guard has intriguing length and athleticism. He’s currently putting up about 12 points per game. A prototypical scorer with good fundamentals, Henderson has plenty of tools to work with.
Mason Johnson – Milwaukee Golda Meir
Johnson had a dominant performance at the Ron Glaser Invite. The senior forward is putting up 24 points and a ridiculous 19 rebounds this season. A high-motor prospect with no quit in him, Johnson relentlessly rebounds the basketball and thinks every miss is his. He’s a vicious attacker of the rim does a great job of cleaning up his own misses.
Gabe Krueger – Wausau East
Krueger is having a monster senior campaign, posting 29.2 points and 10.7 rebounds per game. The 6-foot-6 forward is a competitor who excels at pinning and sealing defenders, moving them out of position so he can generate easy buckets. Off the dribble, Kreuger just goes after people and out-muscles them around the hoop.
Elijah Lambert – Racine St. Catherine’s
Everyone focuses on the other stars for the Angels, but Lambert is a big reason why they’re still undefeated. In addition to averaging 10.4 points and 6.7 rebounds per game, Lambert is a big-time defender. We’ve seen him shut down some outstanding guards and wings this season. The 6-foot-4 forward can also leap and do some damage in transition.
Charlie Masewicz – La Crosse Central
Masewicz is the glue guy for Central. He does the dirty work, but also showed he can do a lot more at the Prep Hoops Top250 camp in the preseason. Masewicz shoots the 3-ball well for a 6-foot-6 forward. He also has some deceptive athleticism. Masewicz is currently averaging nearly nine points per game behind three Division 1 prospects.
Logan Pearson – Kimberly
Saw enough during some fall league action, but Pearson confirmed it with his play this season. Credit UW-Platteville for some great scouting. Pearson was a seldom-used role player in the games we saw of Kimberly last season and has now developed into a nice college prospect. Pearson is averaging better than 13 points per game on a loaded Papermaker squad. A skilled guard with more bounce than people expect, Pearson is an excellent shooter who will surprise at the rim at times.
Trevor Spray – Sauk Prairie
Caught Spray at the Badger Challenge. This looks like a very intriguing prospect with plenty of upside left. The 6-foot-7 forward moves well for his size and has a soft shooting touch. He has the versatility to step away from the rim or put the ball on the deck and get to the rim. He also has the defensive versatility and lateral quickness to defend the perimeter. Also liked the way Spray passes the ball. He’s very unselfish for someone averaging 17 ppg.
Matthew Wade – Milwaukee Golda Meir
This point guard prospect caught our eye on the Ron Glaser Invite. The senior is putting up 15 points and nearly 13 assists per game for Golda Meir. An uptempo guard, Wade is a four-year starter who can dictate the pace of the game.
