Robby Beasley 6’2 2020 guard Dougherty Valley HS. San Ramon CA. (Montana).
Beasley was the best player in the gym (MVP) He started the championship game by knocking down his first four 3 point shots. He continued to dazzle with midranges, floaters and nicely timed passes to teammates. He finished the game with 31 points, he made 5 threes in the final game.
Ramon Farias 6’8 2020 forward, College Park HS. Pleasant Hill CA.
The long wingspan and reach on this prospect helps him be an effective rebounder. He has some presence in the key on defense, and he did an okay job of changing some shots. He has a good go to left handed jump hook in the post, but will have to improve his footwork and other moves on the block. He had good outlet passess and did run from end to end. Could be a DII with more muscle. 8 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks.
Imani Lopez 6’3 2020 guard vintage HS, Napa CA.
Lopez is athletic with sneaky hops. He has some explosiveness on the drive, and he can get to the paint from the wings. He did get there but has to have more success on the finishing part. If you give him an opening, he will dunk it. He gets out pretty good in transition hoping to get a crowd pleasing dunk. He has the tools to be a good defender.
Ryan Hakl 6’6 2020 guard/forward Davis HS, Davis CA.
A solid prospect who looks to knock down 3’s. He has what it takes to be a good 3 point shooter, a good form, release, and confidence. He shot from the wings and the corners. He might go unnoticed until he hits one. He averaged 15 points and made 3 threes in both games I watched. He worked his way inside for offensive rebounds and put backs.
Kareem Rowe 6’5 2020 guard/forward, McQueen HS, Reno Nevada.
One of the better prospects at this tournament. This prospect isn’t from NorCal, but his team made the 4 hour drive to participate. Rowe showed his talent throughout this event averaging 25 points. He’s a physical athlete who’s very good scoring inside and around the basket. At 6’5 he handles the ball up top, and can drive and hit the midrange in the key. A good defender on the wings, and he rebounds. Good player.
Donovan Sevilla 5’10 2020 guard, Dougherty Valley HS, San Ramon CA.
Sevilla benefits from his team run and shoot style a play. They scored 100 points in the title game. He plays fast and excels in the open court, with nice finishes, and he’s a good 3 point shooter. He nailed three 3 pointers in the title game and plenty of layups in transition to finish with 19 points.
