This weekend that vicinity is Anaheim, CA and the Prep Hoops California Expo. For most of these players, this will be my first opportunity to verify what I’ve seen on film. In this article PH takes a look at some of those players in the C/O 2022.
Devon Arlington 6’3 PG San Marco – The Expo attracts the best, and Arlington is one of the best. He pulls up to the event after a fabulous freshmen season. The oversized PG has a dazzling skill set. Sick pull up game, amazing court vision and the ability to get to the bucket. He’s already picked up offers from UC Riverside and Cal-State Bakersfield. Interested in seeing if he’s a mid or high major guy.
Dillon Botts 5’9 PG Jurupa Hills – Botts is a rising sophomore. He gained valuable experience last season playing as a fresmen. Solid defender with good playmaking skills. Interested in seeing how well he shoots the ball.
Kristian Jemerson 6’4 SG Fairmont Prep – I love guys who contribute on both sides of the ball. Enter Jemerson. Tons of tools in his belt. The 6’4 wing can shoot it, protect the rim and defend multiple positions. He’s another one of the players I just have to see live. Interested in seeing the type of size and strength he’s working with.
Ben Shtolzberg 6’3 SG Notre Dame – I got a chance to see Shtolzberg this summer on our Hustle Region Circuit. Everyone in So Cal is familiar with him as the kid that aspires to play at UCLA. The funny thing is, that dream isn’t that crazy. Solid size for a knock down shooter. He has a good feel for the game, and knows how to create plays for himself and his teammates. I saw a lot of him this summer, I’m interested in seeing how much he’s improved.
Lewis Singleterry IV 5’10 Murrieta Mesa – Singleterry is a defense first PG. He does most of his damage in transition. The cat quick Singleterry sprints the floor with the best of them creating easy buckets. Knocked down %37 of his shots from behind the arc last season. Speed kills and I’m interested in seeing how much speed Singleterry has.
