Zachary Davidson 6’8 SF Mater Dei Catholic 2023 – There will be more attention coming to the rest of Davidson’s skills. Right now I want to concentrate on his shooting. Davidson is an elite stretch 4. Knocked down 3’s as a trailer and in catch in shoot action. I tripled checked and it’s true, this guy is only a Freshman.
Jake Hlywiak 6’3 SG Valencia 2020 – Even Hlywiak’s misses looked liked they were going in. Prototype shooter with an effortless release. He didn’t just show off his stroke from 3. Banged home several mid-range jumpers as well. Beautiful mechanics, flawless follow through.
Jed Miller 5’11 PG Agoura 2020 – Everytime Miller was on the floor all you heard was defenders yelling “shooter, shooter” Not sure how many he made in the game I watched, because I stopped counting after 5. Kid is a gunslinger. Feet always set, hands always ready. Perhaps the most range of any player at the event.
Grant Tull (featured image) 6’6 SF Gridley 2021 – Tull put on an absolute show. It was so easy for him, that I feel like he decided to show off his shooting just because he could. The lefty knocked down 3’s in catch and shoot and of the dribble. 6’6 wing was able to raise up and over defenders.
Benjamin Fierro 6’3 SG Don Antonio Lugo 2021 – I’m going to be honest. Fierro has a strange release. It’s kind of a chest push shot. I don’t care if he shoots it from his chest or his feet however, because he made them. Was a knock down shooter from distance all day.
