Continue ReadingThe All-West Camp in (Norwalk Ca) had a good number of Nor-Cal prospects who made the trip down south to compete in this event. Here’s five prospect from Nor-Cal.
Isa Silva 6’4 2021 Jesuit (Carmichael Ca)
Once again Isa showed why he is considered one of the top prospects in Nor Cal 2021. Using his creative passing skills, he continually found team-mates for scores and open looks. He has a good feel for the game and moves with a good pace right now. He knocks down his mid-range, he continues to be a threat from behind the 3 point line knocking down open 3’s on the catch and shoot.
Grant Tull 6’5 2021 Gridley (Gridley Ca)
His versatility was on display during this event, he’s a team player willing to do what he can for the good of the team. His handles are good enough to lead the transition break, and to handle the ball up top. His unselfish play was noticeable the way he made extra passes to open team-mates. After passing he would often make his way to the post area where his footwork was good, and often finished with either hand around the rim. He will get his share of rebounds and will hit the 3 point shot.
Cameron Walker 5’10 2021 Turlock (Ca)
The speedy point guard with good handles has nice stop and go moves, keeping defenders off balance. He’s a good finisher when he gets into to the paint, often stopping on two, and or managing to slice through for good baskets, or dumping it off to team-mates. His speed in transition and willingness to pass forward, had team-mates actively trying to fill the lanes.
Jaden Phillips 6’4 2021 Modesto Christian (Modesto Ca)
His game is progressing nicely, he lets the game come to him, when he did this good things usually happened. He knocked down the mid-range jumper, his decision making was good with the ball, and he was constantly moving to open spaces without the ball. At 6’4 and growing he can handle the point guard position when called upon.
Justice Owens 5’9 2021 Pioneer H.S (San Jose Ca)
There’s always a prospect that grabs the attention of evalutors at these events. Justice caught my attention. This speedy point guard with play making ability showed his quickness with the ball, and his ability to avoid body blows while moving towards the basket area was impressive. His passing skills should be noted, he consistently found team-mates in transition and in half court sets, that makes him a pass first point guard. He knocked down 3 point shots consistently, well behind the line. Make no mistake about it, he has the capabilities to go on spurts and change a game. A growth spurt and some weight gain, this 2021 prospect will garner more attention.
