Top 100 Camp Thursday: Five Standouts

<p><em>CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA</em> – Day two of Top-100 Camp was quite an eventful one. College Coaches and NBA Personnel joined the media in attendance, and there was plenty to talk about. Below is a quick look at five of the biggest local standouts from Thursday.</p>
<p><strong>EFTON REID | 7’0 C | STEWARD ‘21</strong></p>
<p><strong>Efton Reid</strong>’s overall game is progressing nicely. Offensively, you won’t find many at his size with his fundamentals. Reid ran the floor with purpose. He showed that he was comfortable finishing inside over length but also stepping out and knocking down a three out of a pick-and-pop. Defensively, Reid competes for rebounds and consistently boxes out. While he is not an elite shot blocker, he stays vertical and makes things difficult for those who challenge him at the rim.</p>
<p><strong>MYLES STUTE | 6’6 F | GONZAGA ‘20</strong></p>
<p>When <strong>Myles Stute</strong> is knocking down the three ball like he was today, he can be a tough matchup. Stute was exceptional defensively, especially in help side situations. He showcased quick hands and impressive coordination when pursuing the ball.</p>
<p><strong>CAMERON THOMAS | 6’4 G | OAK HILL ‘20</strong></p>
<p><strong>Cameron Thomas</strong> continues to show why he is perhaps the best scorer in the country. Thomas is an absolute assassin from all three levels but has a superb mid-range game which opens up his ability to attack the basket where he is adept at finishing in traffic with either hand.</p>
<p><strong>MARK WILLIAMS | 7’0 C | NORFOLK ACADEMY ‘20</strong></p>
<p>One of the long-term prospects in the entire camp has to be <strong>Mark Williams</strong>. Defensively, he is outstanding at defending in the post and protecting the paint. Once he finishes growing and gains full command of his body, Williams should be able to stay lighter on his feet and become a better pick and roll defender even though he isn’t too bad at it right now. Perhaps what stood out most about him today was his offensive skill set. Williams has emerged into a go-to primary scoring option with his back to the basket.</p>
<p><strong>TERRANCE WILLIAMS | 6’6 F | GONZAGA ‘20</strong></p>
<p><strong>Terrance Williams</strong> impressed with his overall productivity on both ends today, as per usual. He is one of the best shooters in the camp but continues to expand on his face up skills and is getting to the rim more easily off the bounce.</p>
