Bunn is led by 2021 guard Ah’Quay Mosley, who produced 13.6 points, 7.5 rebounds and 3.3 assists per game. He’s a playmaker with the ball in his hands that gets to the rim with ease and finishes tough. He’s working on his midrange and outside shot and as he develops, look for his team to turn a corner. Xavier Jones is a 2021 forward that averaged 6.3 points, 7.0 rebounds and 1.4 blocks per game for his team. He’s another prospect that as he learns to play with a motor and improves his conditioning, he’s one player with a lot of room to grow.
P.J. Spivey, Lavadous Bolden, Tre Artis, Bryan Baskerville and Ohage Kearney are a few other prospects to look out for on this squad. Spivey is a big guard that can knock down the 3 and get to the rim. He competes hard on both ends. Bolden is a big 2022 forward at 6-foot-2 that uses his size and strength well to get rebounds and tough buckets. He can stretch the floor as well with his outside shot. He should contribute greatly after spending last season on JV.
Artis is a solid reserve forward who runs the floor well and finishes at the rim. He’s an underrated shooter as well and his shot is something that’s an underrated part of his game. Baskerville is a wiry forward that moves well without the ball on offense and does well to rebound the basketball. Kearney plays the backup role behind Mosley and is a strong guard for his size at 5-foot-10. The pieces are in place for Bunn to be a solid program this fall in the Northern Carolina Conference. Keep an eye out for this squad.
