The steady 6-foot-2, 165-pound guard got a taste of varsity action last year at Jefferson High School and he’s hoping for even more court time as a junior. Adams has been working on his game this summer and recently switched AAU teams to Hoop Salem 16U before suiting back up with the Demos this June.
Adams started out with Team P.U.S.H. and played a couple of tournaments with that program before moving over to Hoop Salem with a number of his teammates including good friend Nate Rawlins-Kibonge. Last year at Jefferson, he largely served as a spot-up shooter but this spring and summer he’s taking the ball to the basket more.
“I think I’ve been doing good so far,” Adams said. “I just need to keep on penetrating and looking for my teammates, and looking for the open shot and take it. I’m working on finishing through contact and my off-dribble pull-up.”
When it comes to college recruitment, Adams is working to get on the radar of coaches and knows that continued improvement will help him reach his goals. He’s ready to keep on working. My expectations for the rest of the summer are to keep on playing and getting better,” Adams said.
