Hendersonville Forward Ben Beeker: Furman is getting a good one in Beeker, for a while we were confused as to why his recruitment seemed a bit slow, but as time went on, things got better and schools began to offer. He is a 20/10 per game type player with plenty of upside left in his game, we fully expect him to be able to take his game to another level once he’s in college.
North Stanly Bryson Childress: He’s not the tallest guard that you will see but this young man can flat out play the game. He holds offers from D2 programs as well as an offer from UMBC, which shouldn’t come as a surprise as he can shoot the ball well and has a nice IQ for the game.
Southwest Guilford Jay’den Turner: Headed to Queens University next year, his coming out party seemed to be the state playoffs as he played at a very high level in some big time matchups. His skillset and physical manner that he plays the game in are both attributes that caught the attention of college programs as well as his ability to play multiple positions.
Freedom HS Fletcher Abee: The Citadel will be the location where he plays out his college basketball career, the 6’3 SG has plenty of the tools you like to see from a guard without a doubt. He can shoot it well from deep, moves well without the ball, reads defenders off screens well, and has a chance to be a good defender when he’s fully locked in.
High Point Central Dhieu Dieng: USC-Aiken got a good one in this youngster, he has the ability to play the PG or SG spot and can absolutely fill up a scoring stat sheet. Fans are going to love to see him play as he brings an enthusiasm to the court just about every time he plays.
East Lincoln Sidney Dollar: The fans at Lees Mcrae AKA Dunk Mountain will like what he brings to the table as the 6’5 Wing has already committed to play there. He can score the ball in various ways, including above the rim as he has impressive leaping ability to go along with a 200 pound physique. He spent time on the football field as well so playing the game in a physical manner is not much of an issue for him, and that should help his transition to the next level to be rather smooth.
North Buncombe Ren Dyer: He put up video game type numbers this season and is one that the folks at Carson-Neman should be very excited about. Plays the game with a high level of toughness and energy and should fit in well at the college that he chose, his ability to score the ball should not even be a question as he put together a 53 point performance in a game this season.
North Davidson Themus Fulks: His senior year was impressive with quite a few high scoring games on his resume’. He has the ability to get to the spots he wants on the floor by using his speed and he doesn’t seem like he gets bothered by any type of defense, regardless of what scheme it may be.
Southwest Guilford Keyshaun Langley: Was one of the reasons why Southwest Guilford was able to make the amazing run to a win a state championship this season. He seems to make the right play at the right time whenever his team needs it, and is one that you could see compile a good amount of assist in this game. Will be playing out his college career right at home at UNCG so it should be fun to see his progress.
Wheatmore Gavin Rains: Another player that is headed to Queens University next year, the 6’6 forward has plenty of upside to his game and can stretch the floor for a team offensively. You could see the flashes of how good he can possibly be through the last few years of his high school career, he is one to keep an eye on.
