A few years ago there was a skinny tall kid roaming around tournaments that looked like he could have some potential. That kid is now a legit Division 1 prospect.
When Braxton Meah was a freshman at Roy High School in Roy, Utah he was a 6’7 lean player that was raw but had potential. After an underwhelming freshman year where he only scored 1 point the entire season Braxton decided to transfer schools.
Braxton had a fresh start at Layton Christian Academy. The small 2A school has a history of success. The 6’9 Center was a force against small schools. He would often dunk on defenders at will. He averaged 10 points per game as a sophmore but Braxton Meah was on the move again. The then 6’9 C made the move to California where he would play and excel at San Joaquin Memorial.
With a fluid offense that gets Braxton involved he has been able to reach new heights, He aggressively tries to dunk anything close to the rim. He elevates well against defenders. The most impressive aspect of his game is his ability to get up and down the court. He is a 10 and 10 type of player that will protect the rim as well.
While making his new home in Fresno Braxton started to flourish on the court and it has resulted into some offers. The 7’0 C has received offers from Virginia Tech, Clemson, UTEP, Arizona State and Fresno State.
Although his senior year has yet to be played Braxton might once again catch the attention of the local Utah schools as he continues to impress on the Grassroots Circuit playing for California United/Vegas Elite (EYBL).
With 4 offers and more to come the 7’0 local product is one to keep an eye on as his stock continues to rise.
