The tournament will feature a few of the states bigger name talents, as well as some under-the-radar players looking to boost their stock this spring. We dish out a few of the names to watch over the weekend.
Jaeden Zackery (6’2 2019 PG, World Hoops Elite )- Jaeden is one of the top unsigned seniors in the state, and he’ll take his talents to the AAU circuit for another spring season, this time running with Kenosha based World Hoops Elite . He’ll be the feature talent on a team filled with sleepers, as he attempts to bring in more D2 offers and potentially some D1’s. He is known for stepping up his game against high level competition, and he’ll have the chance to do just that as World Hoops Elite will face off against the always talented Iowa Barnstormers in their tournament opener. Jaeden is a true do-it-all point guard who plays with intensity on defense, can score inside and out, and is a great at setting up his teammates to succeed with open looks. Look for Jaeden to be one of the top performers in the whole tournament this weekend.
Brayden Dailey (6’5 2021 W, Wisconsin PGC)- Brayden Dailey joins the Playground Warriors as one of the top sophomore prospects in Wisconsin, and he’ll look to lead them to success at the 16u level. A silky smooth wing prospect who can knock down threes from deep both of the dribble and in catch and shoot situations, Dailey is a deadly scorer who opposing defenses will be keyed in on. Dailey continues to grow as an athlete, and now has the explosiveness to finish above the rim both in transition and in the flow of the offense. Iowa, Marquette, and Wisconsin are already showing interest, and Brayden will look to get the offers flowing with strong performances this weekend and beyond.
Isaiah Hoyt (6′ 2021 PG, Wisconsin Sharks)- One of the top young point guards in southeastern Wisconsin, Hoyt will once again be running with the Wisconsin Sharks program. They feature a loaded backcourt, and Isaiah Hoyt will likely be the one spreading the ball to get the talent involved. He plays with poise and a smooth flow, able to dictate the pace of the game with his passing and ball handling. He has deep range as a shooter when given the space, and is an unselfish player who excels at getting his teammates involved. He averaged 11.4 ppg and 3.2 apg during the high school season, and will look to translate that success into the AAU season this weekend.
Peyton Rogers (6’6 2020 F, World Hoops Elite North)- Rogers is a deep sleeper in the 2020 class who is starting to rise as a prospect. An intriguing athlete at 6’6, Peyton is an explosive finisher around the rim and has started to develop into a more complete player over his junior season. He averaged 13.4 points and 9.1 boards a game for Chippewa Falls this past season, and will take his talents into the AAU season against more competition his size. He could see time for either World Hoops Elite North, or World Hoops Elite , and will be one to watch as he is an absolutely electric finisher at the hoop who will have the rims rocking all weekend.
Max Klesmit (6’3 2020 G, Wisconsin Blizzard)- Max had a breakout season as a junior, leading Neenah to a state tournament behind his 24.3 ppg including a 42 point outburst late in the year. Klesmit can absolutely light it up from deep, and is a tough as nails guard who won’t duck any competition. With his ability to catch fire and take over a game offensively, Max could make some noise this weekend in Madison. Drawing some Division 2 interest and having gone on a visit to Minnesota-Duluth, he’ll look to continue his rise as a prospect and turn the interest into some offers this spring with the Wisconsin Blizzard program.
Jeffery Brazziel (6’5 2022 G/F, Wisconsin PGC)- A player who will be in the running for top 2022 prospect in the state as he continues his high school career, Brazziel will look to build on a strong freshman season this spring with Playground Warriors. He put up impressive numbers of 15.5 ppg and 7.8 rpg to make the All City Conference team as a freshman, and figures to be one of the top freshmen to watch in the Midwest this season. He can play a variety of positions with his combination of length, athleticism, and budding skillset, and is a special player when he gets in transition. One of the top prospects at the event regardless of class, Jeff could lead PGC to a deep tournament run this weekend.
Christopher Morgan (6′ 2022 G, Wisconsin Crusaders)- Another one of the state’s top players in what looks to be a strong 2022 class, Morgan has an early offer from West Virginia, and will look to build on that early recruitment at the ROCK Spring Classic this weekend. A point guard capable of knocking down threes with a quick release, Chris also has special court vision and the ability to drop dimes to his teammates. He has an advanced skillset at an early stage of his career, and isn’t afraid to add a bit of flair when he steps on the floor. He averaged 12.5 ppg over his freshman campaign, and figures to be a dangerous player for Wisconsin Crusaders.
