AKU CONTINUING TO TURN THE CORNER
Jonathan Aku continues to stand out at each event he competes in. The four-star center is one who will definitely make a nice rise in multiple recruiting sites’ nationally rankings. Tonight, he showed more fluidity in his movements. He ran the floor and showed improved footwork down low. Defensively he was as imposing as ever protecting the rim and forcing tough attempts inside.
Aku holds offers from Houston, Georgetown, LSU, Miami, Oklahoma State, TCU, Texas A&M, Tulane, Tulsa, and UT-Arlington. He has visited Houston, LSU, Tulane, and UT-Arlington and plans on visiting Texas A&M next week.
FARMER SHOWING MORE PROMISE
Josh Farmer‘s motor was running higher than I have ever seen previously. He made a big-time impact on the defensive glass. He was quick to any ball coming off the backboard. Farmer still has ways to go I.Q. wise. He is capable of hitting the glass and leading the break but needs to be aware of when and when not to. The 6-foot-8 forward also needs to polish his offensive repertoire. With that being said, if he figures it out the lengthy forward has a tremendous chance to be something special.
…OTHER NOTES

- … Jeffrey Mills hit a couple of timely shots for Texas Impact 4:13 in their double-digit win over Urban DFW (Adidas). He is a poised shooter off the catch and has a great feel for the game. He scored nine points and dished out two assists in the contest.
- … After not playing last weekend, C.J. Kelley returned with a decent performance. He scored nine points and grabbed seven boards in the Mustangs’ win. The Texarkana native made some plays at the rim and showed touch out to 17 feet.
