He understands the game, can get past his defender but doesn’t always look to score, instead we saw quite a few outstanding passes from him.
Flight 22 2020 Guard Phil Martin Jr: Has the ability to knock down shots from deep but also seems to be more improved with attacking the basket. Showing that he can play the PG at a solid rate although he is naturally a SG will only help him to raise his stock.
Wake Warriors 2021 Guard David Cass: One of the first attributes that we noticed about his game was his ability to knock down shots at a high rate from three point land. He didn’t hesitate to let shots fly and some came from deeper than college three point range, however he allowed showed his ability to pass the ball and how unselfish of a player that can be.
Wake Warriors 2021 Guard Colton Tew: One of the stronger guards that we saw throughout the day, he simply is one of those players that can put his head down and get where he wants on the floor. He has broad shoulders and a physique that seems like he’s spent some time in the weight room already but also has a nice skillset to go along with it.
Flight 22 2021 Guard Anthony Geddie Jr: One of the smaller players in the area that we saw get some significant time on the varsity level but he definitely is a ball player. Has the ability to knock down shots from three point land as well as get into the gaps of the paint, showed that he can play well in up-tempo situations.
Flight 22 2021 Guard Darius Jewel: We have seen him quite a bit over the high school season with Westover and he is one that is dangerous from downtown. He has what we call a ‘‘shooters mentality’’, he doesn’t second guess his shots and believe that each one is going in. Although he started off the day somewhat slower, as the tournament went on, he got better and lit things up in the championship game.
Fayetteville Stars 2021 Guard Roger Paschall: The primary ball handler for his team, he did a nice job of getting the squad into their offense and playing unselfish throughout the day. One of the things that I really liked about his game was the way he pitched the ball ahead to try and get his team out into transition rather quickly.
Flight 22 2021 Guard Jaquay McMillian: Good size for a player that can play at the guard spot some, as he is about 6’ with a good wingspan. Where he made most of his impact for his team was on the defensive end of the floor, constantly applying pressure and helping to force some turnovers.
