Defensively he got after it, forced some turnovers and turned those turnovers into buckets for his team. He’s picked up some JC offers and interest so it will be interesting to see how everything turns out for him but he definitely is next level player.
Northside-Pinetown Junior Guard Rashod Smith: One of the better passers at the event, he ran the show for a good amount of time and facilitated very well. He’s another guard that’s small in stature but has shown that he compete with just about anybody he’s matched up with, will be one to keep an eye on this summer.
71st HS Senior Guard Thomas Hendricks: If you haven’t had the chance to see him play this season, he was one that got better as the season went on. He defends at a solid level, can run a team by getting everyone involved but also has the ability to get his own offense going.
Grace Christian Senior Guard Nate Yow: He took home the win in the 3 point contest and followed that with good performances in the remaining games to help his team take home the championships. He has a nice IQ for the game, making the right plays at the right time, he’s spent quite a bit of time at the PG spot over the last two years so there’s not too many situations that he hasn’t seen already.
Pinecrest HS Sophomore Bradlee Haskell: One of the younger players at the event, he had moments where he showed how special he can possibly be. He has good speed/acceleration, nice court vision and will just need to remain aggressive to attack defenders but overall he is a solid prospect.
James Kenan HS Senior Guard Darryl McCaster Jr: He took home Camp MVP awards with some stellar play throughout the day, he flat out knows how to score the ball in multiple ways and has shown he can do so against just about anybody. His 29 PPG average is no mistake and colleges that are looking for a player that can score the ball at a high level should definitely reach out him.
First Flight HS Junior Guard Dylan Blake: One of the better shooters in the state without a doubt although he had an off shooting day he got some good looks and opportunities. He doesn’t need much space to get his shot off and does a nice job of playing within the flow of the offense, he’s a prospect that D2 programs should be tracking.
