The 6’9″, 210-pound senior has helped the Cobras go 11-8 thus far this year as they fight with Dillard for supremacy in Class 7A-District 14.
He says he made the decision to move from Atlantic to Boyd Anderson after sitting down with his family.
“Dillard was originally my first option but after doing a lot of researching, praying and thinking before I officially made the switch we decided Boyd Anderson was the better place for me to excel and get better,” Duhart told Prep Hoops.
The offers for Duhart currently are from Canisius and FGCU.
“Canisius is showing the most love but once the season is over I’m really confident that I will have more because the coaches are marketing me to colleges,” he said. “Instantly got Iowa St. And Murray St. when I first got to the school so I feel I made the right decision.”
This past AAU season, he suited up for E1T1.
“I spent most of the summer with Coach Reese and E1T1 and that’s where I felt like I learned the most. It really changed the way I look at the game and taught me how to play the right way,” Duhart said. “He always pushed me to go harder and more aggressively and moving from Palm Beach County to Broward County where it’s obviously a different ball game. I was ready because I was taught to play like this in the summer but still I’m making strides to get better.”
Duhart says he does a lot of extra things in his spare time.
“I think the main thing is that my next love after basketball is fashion and want to open a business dealing with fashion when I get older,” he said.
A quiet but natural athlete, Duhart is lengthy and strong at the point of attack. A developing jump shooter, he does all the little things you like in a wing player. Duhart is only going to get better as he continues to be coached up.
