A lot of it has to do with the fact the team is senior-laden and that includes Jaden Robinson. The 6-foot-2, 170-pound guard has been contributing with his athleticism and ability to make plays, but he’s working hard on improving other areas of his game as he strives to catch the attention of college coaches.
“I feel like I can improve in a lot of things,” Robinson said. “But I’ve been working on my three-point to get that falling more consistently.”
Robinson had some moments most recently at the Les Schwab Invitational “The Eight”. While he’s working on his overall percentage, he did show an ability to hit the three as well as make athletic finishes around the basket. The senior played AAU ball this past spring/summer with Nike Team Northwest but unfortunately due to injury, only played half the season.
Because of his absence, not a lot of college programs are aware of the Oklahoma native but Linn-Benton has been in contact with him all season long. “I’ve talked to them a lot,” Robinson said. “They reach out a lot and make me feel like family. I really like how they reach out to me. I’m just looking to play after high school.”
More big games from Robinson will help. Sandy has started off league play with a good 8-4 record and Robinson is hopeful things stay that way. “I think we can go far and make the tournament,” Robinson said. “We can finish high in our league but we’ve all got to play together and have a good season. I just want to get that three-point shot falling.”
