Baylor Hebb / 6’2″ / SG / Colleyville Heritage / 2020
Baylor had the most impressive showing out of anyone I evaluated Thursday. The junior guard looks to have grew an inch or two and has added definition to his arms. Even though his body looks different, his game is still the same. He scores at a high rate while taking great shots in transitional play and within the offense. You can tell the work that he puts in the gym through his pure shooting stroke off the catch and the dribble. His scoring ability also opens up his game and allows him to create opportunities for his teammates. Hebb scored a game-high 38 points effortlessly in Heritage’s win over Burleson.
Ben Joelson / 6’6″ / PF / Colleyville Heritage / 2020
Burleson did not have an answer for Joelson’s in and out play. He has good size to mix things up and score in the paint. Joelson also spaces the floor and can convert on open looks from the outside. He had a 22 point performance in day one of the Colleyville Heritage tournament.
Kylil Anderson / 6’4″ / SF / Keller Central / 2020
The lengthy wing with a thin frame was big in Keller Central’s attempted comeback against L.D. Bell. Anderson played well on both ends. He knocked down a few mid range jumpshots and played the passing lanes extremely well. Anderson is a cerebral and athletic finisher in the open floor.
Latrell Jossell / 5’10″ / PG / Keller Central / 2020
After a quiet first half, Jossell finally got in going in the second. He hit a couple of spot up threes and scored off of stylish one-handed lay ins in transition. The scoring point guard finished with a tied game-high of 18 points in the loss.
Nazir Brown / 6’1″ / PG / L.D. Bell / 2022
Diaper Dandy
He is a confident scorer that can go. There is no doubt in my mind that he will fill it up on all three levels throughout his high school career. The freshman has a strong build and does not have any problem matching up with upper class guards physically on the defensive end. Brown will be inserted into our Diaper Dandy top 25 rankings next month.
