Recruiting Report: Eric Lee (2019)
Eric Lee has been an underrated athlete in the Tampa Bay area for a few years now.
Between football and basketball, the 6’4″, 165-pounder has flashed impressive foot speed, IQ and overall tenacity for sports, especially basketball.
Lee made the switch from Spoto to Superior Collegiate this fall. He says it was to increase the level of competition and to explore reclassing to the Class of 2020 and earn a chance to play at the next level.
As a junior a season ago with Spoto, Lee says he was able to both inside and outside the paint.
This summer, Lee suited up for Game Speed Elite. He says the games were competitive as the program one a few tournaments.
One offer has come for Lee from Coahoma Community College. He has also drawn interest from Old Dominion and Vermont.
He pointed to his biggest strengths as his defense, basketball IQ and shooting. Lee says he wants to improve his ballhandling.
This is Lee’s first full year being a guard exclusively and he’s done a fine job making it work with his new teammates. At Superior, he is showcasing his talents and proving that he can hang with the best of them in the SIAA or on any given night. Lee is a down to earth kid who just wants to get better with each possession. The transfer should do wonders for his confidence and stock.
