St. Edward, Brunswick, Mason, Princeton, East Tech, and Northview are barely on the outside looking in. At this time, however, Lima Senior, STVM, and Pickerington North deserved the final cut in our top ten.
Team W-L Avg. Pt. Dif. Quality Wins Losses Notes
#1 Moeller 6-0 35.3 St. Vincent-St. Mary, Wayne, Covington Catholic Moeller's 37-point trouncing of STVM remains the most impressive data point on any team's résumé. Miles "Deuce" McBride and Alec Pfriem are both playing at an All-State level.
#2 Pickerington Central 6-0 23.2 Springfield, Pick North, Reynoldsburg Juniors and sophomores fill out their rotation, but the play of seniors Javohn Garcia, Sam Towns, Jay Rodgers, Coleton Landis has catapulted PC.
#3 Lorain 6-0 23.7 Lutheran East, Richmond Hts, Euclid Dynamic duo Devon Grant and Taveon Pierre-Louis share the crown as the kings of Cleveland through one month.
#4 Bradley 6-0 15.2 Thomas Worthington, Springfield Lower point differential can be explained away as their style/pace. Health of Jack Pugh will be crucial come tournament time.
#5 Brush 6-0 26 St. Edward Brush will likely go undefeated in the Western Reserve League. DJ Dial, Andre Harris, and John Hugley are playing out of their minds as a unit.
#6 Dublin Coffman 5-0 32.4 Hilliard Davidson Tomorrow's game against Lakota East (5-1) should tell us more about the Rocks.
#7 Whitmer 5-0 16.4 Tol. St. Francis, Rogers Four-senior starting lineup looks poised to make a run, but we will know more about them on Jan. 18 when Lima Senior comes to town.
#8 Lima Senior 6-1 18.1 St. Edward, Tol. St. Francis Anthony Wayne Riding a six-game winning streak after stumbling out of the gates, including a win over one of NEO's top contenders.
#9 St. Vincent-St. Mary 4-2 -1.5 Clev. Central Catholic, Simeon (IL), Chaminade (CA) Spire, Moeller Their quality wins indicate a turn-around after back-to-back losses. Too much experience in the backcourt to be counted out.
#10 Pickerington North 6-1 25 Gahanna, VASJ Pickerington Central The mismatch that Jack Sawyer presents can win a game most nights. If other guys are contributing at a high level, they can compete in the Regional tournament. Lost to PC by 13.
