Prospect Introduction: Kamren Ramsarran (2022)
A young talent down south, Kamren Ramsarran is going to be an integral part to Coral Springs this season.
The 6’1″, 150-pounder called his 8th grade year at Ramblewood Middle School one of his favorite school years yet.
“I had to learn to balance my honor classes as well as practice two times a day,” Ramsarran told Prep Hoops. “I was able to maintain all A’s and B’s. I was able to lead my basketball team to a 10-0 season and winning districts. We lost in the first round of regional by a last second buzzer beater.”
Confidence has been on Ramsarran’s side since he arrived in middle school.
“In 6th grade, I was able to make the team loaded with 8th graders. By the time I was in 7th grade, I was a co-captain,” he said. “By the time I was in 8th grade, I was able to be Captain and a true leader on the team. My biggest area of growth was in my leadership skills and my all-around game.”
He says he’s most excited about learning from the upperclassmen at Coral Springs and the challenge of varsity basketball.
This summer, Ramsarran played for T3 Elite, a program he’s been a part of for two years.
In terms of his biggest strengths, he pointed to his defense, ability to see the floor, knock down shots and be a good teammate.
Ramsarran wants to improve his ability to take control of games and finish on bigger players at the rim.
Coral Springs is getting a good young prospect in Ramsarran. No offers or interest have come for the speedy and intelligent point guard, but he’s going to carve out a name for himself as a freshman. That is a certainty with his talent.
