Prep Hoops Georgia Top 250 Expo: Impactful Juniors
- ’20 Myson Lowe (Whitfield Academy) – Every time I see Lowe take the floor, the more impressed I become with his game. He is a fiery competitor that can get it done on all levels of the floor. I was impressed most by his ability to knock down shots from three, particularly off the dribble at Prep Hoop Georgia’s Top 250 Expo. Lowe possessed a tight handle, kept defenders off balance, and had nice moves in the paint to buy himself the extra time needed to get a good attempt off against legitimate shot blockers or pass to an open teammate on the perimeter. Transferring to Whitfield Academy really shakes up Georgia High School Association’s smallest classification, and as the Wolfpack look to rebuild with this floor general leading the way, they could make a legitimate run at seasons end.
- ’20 Benjamin Raspberry (New Manchester) – Raspberry was a guard that caught my attention as he continued to make plays all afternoon at the Prep Hoops 250 Expo. He has good size at 6’2” to the play either guard position and did a good job of getting

it done on all levels. Raspberry was consistent from three-point range, drilling several attempts from the corner and I loved the on ball defense that was on display from the junior prospect when he was on the ball and out on the perimeter. A transfer from Douglas County, he should enjoy a productive campaign on both ends of the floor at New Manchester this season.
- ’20 Matt Davis (Northview) – Davis is a rangy 6’5′ shooter from Northview high school and did a good job of being active in every sense of the word at Top 250 Expo. He has a smooth release from anywhere on the floor and has good basketball IQ to use that shot making ability to keep defenders off balance when he decides to put his head and get to the rim. I enjoyed the way he remained active in passing lanes to cause a number of deflections for steals and even came away with some blocks or shot altering attempts as an on ball or help defender in the paint. Davis is a good free throw shooter and his combination of shot making abilities along with that IQ will allow him to fill up a score sheet quickly in games this season.
- ’20 Caleb Crumly (North Cobb Christian) – Crumly is a polished player for his size and age, only going into his junior season. The mid-range jump shot from the 6’8” forward is noted but at the Prep Hoops Expo, I thought Crumly was just

as effective on the low block and getting a lot done in the paint area as well. I was fascinated with the body control Crumly possessed defensively in knowing how to use his frame to protect the rim while remaining on the ground but still having some of the best shot blocking ability at the entire expo when need. The North Cobb Christian forward is someone you can play through at any level on offense, use to make it hard on teams to score while on defense, and consistently move which makes him a serviceable prospect in any style of game.
- ’20 Ryan Landers (Walnut Grove) – When talking about prospects at the Top 250 Expo that looked good when getting in the lane, Landers has to be in that conversation. Landers was one of the best players at hanging in the air, embracing contact, or doing whatever it took to score at the rim. The junior from Walnut Grove has big time athleticism to play above the rim but that also services him well on the glass, blocking shots from his guard position and in situations where he can use his speed to create plays for others in the half court or to spot up shooters in transition. Landers understands how to control the game from either the point or shooting guard position and he will be a key factor in pushing Walnut Grove to a postseason berth this season.
