Prospect Spotlight: David Green (2020)
2020 Ocoee guard David Green is an intriguing prospect.
The 6’6″, 210-pounder serves a role as a big shooting guard and gritty forward. He said his sophomore season at Ocoee was filled with ups and downs on the court. However, Green says his ballhandling and athleticism improved two-fold.
This summer, he played for Gamespeed Elite.
“I like the system my coach Dan Cross has for our team and I like the way he coaches and pushes you to be the best player you can be,” Green told Prep Hoops. “I have only been playing with them for this season of AAU and it went well. We have been winning and putting our name on the map this summer.”
No offers have come yet for Green, but he says Kansas State has shown interest.
He pointed to his shooting and finish around the rim as his biggest strengths. Green says he wants to get better as a passer, ballhandler and at his ability to read ball screens.
When watching Green this summer with both his high school and travel squad, it was quite obvious of what he can do currently. He’s both strong and physical and relentless at the point of attack. Green is transforming into a big bodied guard and if he can do all the little things, then he’ll increase his stock a bit this season.
