Florida Recruiting Update: April 30, 2018
With the two April live periods now officially in the book, it is time to look back at what has come for some of the hottest Division I prospects in Florida.
Diante Smith (Choctaw/1 Family)
The 6’7″, 195-pounder has been on fire in terms of play and offers as of late. Perhaps the hottest Division I prospect in the state, Smith has earned offers from LSU, Alabama, Mississippi State, Cincinnati, Dayton, Seton Hall, USF, Virginia Tech, TCU and Canisius since April 21. The 2019 forward earned another SEC offer from Florida today.
Corey Walker Jr. (Bishop Snyder/Game Elite)
One of the top 2020 athletes in the state, Bishop Snyder forward Corey Walker Jr. has earned four offers just today from Georgetown, Missouri, West Virginia and McNeese State. A 6’6″, 205-pounder has also earned offers from Mississippi State, Texas A&M, Auburn and Xavier since April 18. He’s performing well for Game Elite so far this spring.
Darin Green Jr. (Wharton/Team CP25)
It has been a nice start to the spring for Darin Green Jr. The 2019 guard who is 6’4″ has drawn offers from Furman, Elon, Austin Peay and USF since April 20. Green Jr. is the leader for Wharton and right now, he’s doing a bunch of positive things for Team CP25.
Tre Mann (The Villages/E1T1)
Kansas represents the latest offer for the 6’3″, 165-pound Villages guard Tre Mann. Battling through a meniscus injury, Mann, a 2019 guard is still doing big things on the circuit with E1T1. He’s also landed offers from UNLV, TCU and Georgia since April 24.
Toumani Camara (Chaminade Madonna/Team Knight)
A riser for Team Knight this spring, 2019 Chaminade Maddona forward Toumani Camara has earn offers from Buffalo, Dayton, George Washington and FAU since April 20. A 6’6″, 200-pounder from Belgium has really come on this spring.
Josh Green (IMG/West Coast Elite)
A 6’5″, 180-pound pure athlete Josh Green has received two big-time offers from Villanova and Pittsburgh during this live period. Green, a 2019 forward is a leader for West Coast Elite and IMG.
Ahren Freeman (Providence/Team Knight)
A 6’6″ 2019 small forward Ahren Freeman earned his second Division I offer and first since late 2016 from McNeese State. Freeman, the leader for Providence is shining with Team Knight this summer also has an offer on the table from FGCU.
