NY2LA Swish N’ Dish Preview: 16U
MEQUON — A look ahead to the 16U action taking place on opening night of the NY2LA Sports Swish N’ Dish…
Kevon Looney Elite vs. Bradley Beal Elite
Big test for the Milwaukee Academy of Science of Trio on opening night. Kaleim Taylor, Darius Hannah, and Amani Glosson are the only three Wisconsin natives on the roster, but very well could be the biggest pieces to the puzzle. Taylor is the headliner of the group, holding an early offer from UNLV.
Bradley Beal has some firepower of their own. Caleb Love, Marcus Fitzgerald, and Lamontay Daugherty are three prospects who all hold Division 1 offers thus far.
Phenom University vs. EG10
How quick can this Phenom University program come together?
They’ll certainly have the talent. Jalen Johnson (Sun Prairie), Isaac Lindsey (Mineral Point), Desmond Polk (New Berlin West), and Jamari Sibley (Nicolet), and Reece Beekman are all high major prospects and ranked among the best in Wisconsin. The group has depth as well with Alex Antetokounmpo (Dominican) and Delaware Hale (Sun Prairie) — two promising young bigs.
EG10 has plenty of star power of their own. Paced by Tony Perkins, Julien Hunter, and touted 2021 guard Ronald Johnson, EG10 is also a strong title contender this weekend.
Wisconsin Swing vs. Iowa Mavericks Black
The Swing have some new faces on the roster this season. Caden Boser (Eau Claire Memorial), Anthony Washington (Madison East), and A.J. Vukovich (East Troy) come over to the NY2LA Association. They’ll join Colin Schaefer (Sun Prairie) and Yacouba Traore (Madison Memorial) to form a team that could win the NY2LA title in July. Promising 2021 forward Brayden Dailey is also playing up with this group.
