Recruiting Report: Chamberlain St. Jean (2018)
Down in Miami, Chamberlain St. Jean is out to prove a point as one of the top guards in the area and in the entire state.
The 6’3″, 190-pounder is a senior at Northwest Christian. He says he finally learned what type of player he was last season and how he can dominate his position.
“My expectations at Northwest Christian is to dominate the floor every night, get my teammates involve so that we could win, and make my presence known in every game we play,” St. Jean said. “Especially against the name teams. I have grown a lot in my game. I make sure every year that all aspect of my game improves. From shooting to dribbling and defense, everything needs to get better because there is no end.”
St. Jean opened the summer with the Miami City Ballers but then finished AAU season with the Miami Suns. He says he loved playing for the Suns as they showed him the most love.
He called his biggest strengths his ability to drive to the basket, finish and his mid-range jumper. He wants to continue to improve his 3-point shooting and have “godly handles.”
A lot of kids that I talk to love the game of basketball, but St. Jean is more than just a student of the game. He works endlessly to better his all-around game and his expectations for himself are through the roof. He’s expanded his leadership game and has become a vocal and aggressive guard.
