2020 Stock Risers
With all of the talent in Northern California, the sophomore class seems to be one of the deepest classes. There are many talented sophomores such as Jalen Green, Nimari Burnett, Coleman Hawkins, and more, but there are a few other names that are turning into household names. Here are a few sophomores that are rising their stock in the 2020 class in Northern California.
Dishon Jackson – St. Patrick-St. Vincent 6’9′
Jackson has turned into one of the Go-To guys for the Bruins after their state run a year ago which featured a loaded senior class. He has worked hard with assistant coach Bakari Hendrix on his post moves, and shown that he can also face up and put it on the floor. You will hear more from Jackson in the near future.
Jhaylon Martinez – Vanden 6’10
Martinez has been a double-double machine for the Vikings, and continues to show growth in his overall game. He has great court vision for a big man, and is learning to play defense without fouling which is key for big men. Martinez will be key for the Vikings to make another deep playoff run.
Ra’shon Martinez – Vanden 6’2′
Ra’shjon who is the brother of Jhaylon, is a very underrated guard in the 2020 class. There isn’t anything flashy about his game but he does all of the little things that it takes to win a basketball game. He plays hard defense, dives on the floor for loose balls, and moves well without the ball.
Tyler Brinkman – Salesian 6’4′
Brinkman just received his first offer from Fresno State this week and will receive plenty of more offers within the next two years. He is a major component to Salesian’s success, and has a great overall feel for the game. His role will continue to grow with Akinjo graduating this year.
Daniel Fagan – De Anza 6’1′
Fagan is having a good year for De Anza as they are 15-3 on the season. He can shoot the ball from the outside, has good court vision, and has a good mid-range game. De Anza will be looking to make a deep playoff run and Fagan will be running the show for the Dons.
