Update: Arlington Country Day–Jacksonville, FL
Demetrick Coney, G, 2018
6-foot-1 South Carolina native has traditional point guard skill-set with handle and advanced play making ability. Also thrives at taking the ball to the rim and finishing amid long, shot-contesting hands. Capable of scoring at all three levels, the true draw to Coney is his ability to see the floor and initiate the offense while finding cutters at opportune times.
Yohan Ndolo, F, 2018
Multi-positional 6-foot-8 forward has refined back to the basket game. Capable of finishing with either hand, Ndolo thrives with his ability to see the mismatch and exploit it. Versatile and possessing a high IQ on the floor, France native can guard multiple positions and has upside as a multi-dimensional defender. Still developing into more of a polished threat.
Alex Diaz, C, 2018
6-foot-10 big has a soft, feathery touch around the rim that oozes of promise. Though he’s not a banger, has the skill-set to get around the rim and finish. If he can continue to pack on muscle and absorb the intricacies of the back to the basket game, has the potential to be a work in progress steal at the next level.
D’Moi Hodge G, 2018
One year after a promising season at now defunct Faith Baptist (GA), Hodge has picked up where he left off as a prolific scorer capable of breaking the game open when he finds the hot hand. Bolstered by multiple games of 10 3-pointers and a 40-point game last season, Hodge now finds himself flanked by more overall talent at ACD. His unrelenting motor and unrivaled work ethic, two aspects of his game head coach Terrell Eskridge is quick to cite, make him an enticing prospect at the next level.
He has again gone for 40-point performances and shown an innate ability to reel of points in bunches. His consistency and ability to sidestep those agonizing shooting funks which tend to derail other shooters are pivotal factors for Hodge.
“You can’t define him as just a shooter or a scorer,” said Eskridge of his go-to 6-foot-4 off guard.
“He does way more than that. He’s just all around special.”
