Prospect Spotlight: Riley Rudisill (2018)
2018 Riverview guard Riley Rudisill has been a feature piece for the Sharks as of late.
The 5’9″, 140-pounder says he learned how to become a leader be a guide for his teammates as a junior.
“I was most proud of the people on the team who played through all of our loses,” Rudisill told Prep Hoops Florida. “This being my last year at Riverview, I expect to have one of our best seasons yet as we feel more like family than before.”
Rudisill played for Red Storm Elite this summer, a program that he says got him well prepared for the season.
“This offseason was great for me, I averaged 20 points a game, worked on my weaknesses and really got a feel for the game,” he said.
No offers or interest have come for Rudisill. He says if he keeps working like he is now that his future will be in good shape. He hopes to play college basketball instate.
Rudisill says he improved coming off screens precisely and his overall defense this past season. He’s aiming to have more court vision so he can feed the ball to his teammates and get them going all the time.
It has been rather hard for Riverview to muster wins over the past few seasons, but Rudisill has been a bright spot for the Sharks. He’s an undersized guard who uses his craftiness all over the floor. I fully expect him to get a chance to play somewhere at the next level. He’s certainly is flying under the radar.
