Prospect Spotlight: Tazmin Dukes (2018)
Pinellas Park senior Tazmin Dukes has no offers yet but that doesn’t stop him from being a leader.
The 6’0″, 175-pounder is a high-energy player for the Patriots and he plans to be a captain at starting forward this season.
He called his junior season one that could have been better. The 2018 prospect says he rebounded from a slow start and finished the year strong.
“The part of my game that grew the most was my work ethic towards the game,” Dukes told Prep Hoops Florida. “I have a motive to not be outworked in anything I do. I also provide the spark we need as a team and learned to be even more coachable than I was before.”
The 2018 prospect spent the summer playing with his teammates, saying it was one of the best times he had playing basketball because he got to expand his game.
Starting his hoops life at age 14, Dukes pointed to his size, strength and ability to play in the post and on the perimeter as his biggest strengths. He’s aiming to improve his relationship and chemistry between him and all of his teammates.
Dukes is the definition of a hard worker. He doesn’t have all the accolades but he doesn’t care. He loves the game of basketball and he just wants to have fun and make everyone around him better. Pinellas Park should enjoy having him for one more season.
