Prospect Spotlight: Keegan Shivers (2020)
Keegan Shivers is a 6’5 180lbs guard/forward in the class of 2020 who can play every position. He has good size and is still filling out his tall frame and he is very athletic. Shivers started for his high school varsity basketball team as a freshman at Wilsonville high school over the summer, seeing quality minutes. He had an impressive summer season. 17ppg, 7rpg, 5apg, and shot 51% from the field. Keegan is a lights out shooter and has an impressive first step that can blow by defenders, he also is very good off the dribble creating for himself and his teammates. His passing and court vision makes him a major threat to defenses. Shivers was key in rebuilding from the loss of 2 star seniors at Wilsonville high school. Shivers is very excited for this up and coming season with his high school team knowing that it will be challenging to defend the back to back state championship that Wilsonville currently holds. “I️ didn’t think you could get above the rim like that” -Greg Dundon(Elite 24 EYBL head basketball coach). His coach said to him after his steal and dunk to finish it off during the fall season.
This fall shivers played with Elite 24(EYBL). He excelled with the team and is excited to play next spring and summer with them. Shivers will do anything to help his team to win. He wants to push himself every day and knows how much better he can get. He has a great work ethic giving it his all every time he is on the court and is very coachable picking up things right a way. Off the court he excels in the classroom having a 3.73 GPA. He loves lead in his community and to be someone that the younger kids look up to. His goal is to earn a D1 scholarship in Basketball and find a college that he feels will help him be the best player he can be. With his length and height he is full of potential and has a bright future ahead of him.
