Prospect Spotlight: Isaiah Edden (2020)
Isaiah Edden battled back from a fractured thumb last season.
The 2020 Suncoast guard played a part in the Chargers 21-6 record and Class 6A region semifinal appearance.
Edden called it a great experience for his freshman year.
The 5’11” guard says he learned that you have to come prepared to play and he felt like he settled into the varsity environment well.
This summer, Edden ran with the Florida Vipers. It was his first year with the organization and he said he got to see the talent, speed and strength that is out there.
No offers have come yet for Edden, but he proved last year that he is coming up. He pointed to his mid-range game and 3-pointer as his biggest strengths. He wants to improve his strength and explosiveness.
Edden doesn’t look intimidating at first glance with his lean body and goggles. Don’t be fooled, the sophomore guard is a playmaker. He can dish out passes with ease and if he finds an opening, he isn’t afraid to pull the trigger. Edden will see a healthy dose of minutes this fall for Suncoast.
