Prospect Spotlight: Daniel Kovalev (2019)

Daniel Kovalev Offered scoring, passing , and tough defense for the cardinals and was used his natural feel for the game to hit jumpers, 3 pointers , and attack the basket. Daniel was able to finish through contact at the rim as a sophomore and was great passer who could find the open man and finish tough passes to make the assist. Also a great defender due to athletic ability
In the summer daniel played for team fly 16u and filled the role of a point guard leader for the team. Daniel set a fast pace tempo for this team fly team that looked to get out and run as much as possible. He had to step up and find ways to get teammates involved through passing and attacking the defense. Daniel played in tournaments up and down the west coast all summer including Oakland, Anaheim, Las Vegas, San Diego , and Seattle. He also had a successful summer season with lincoln as they won 3 tournaments including one in San Diego. Daniel had a big impact on this Lincoln summer team as they looked ready to be a serious team to look out for this season
Daniel kovalev is also a multi sport athlete as he played running back this season for Lincoln. He won a PIL championship with this team as they went undefeated in league play and kovalev truly showed his pure athletic ability not only on the court but on the field as well
“This season I’m looking to be more of a scoring threat. I’ve been working on hitting shots and finishing at the basket. This includes my floater game and going through people instead of backing away from contact. I also feel way more athletic and stronger then last year so this will help with being a great defender and getting out and pushing the ball.”
