All-13th Region Team Predictions

As the the Kentucky High School season gets underway this week, Prep Hoops Kentucky makes some All-Region Team predictions. Here, we take a look at the 13th Region:
All 13th Region Team Predictions:
Andrew Taylor, Corbin / 6’3, Guard / 2018
- Taylor turned heads all summer playing with the Louisville Magic. At the end of the summer he committed to play at Furman, where he hopes to have an opportunity to play immediately. Taylor averaged 29.5 points and 12 rebounds per game while shooting 50% from the field. He will be a contender to win Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball.
Markelle Turner, Knox Central / 6’1, Point Guard / 2018
- Turner helped led Knox Central to a 27-6 record and a 51st District championship last season. He averaged 18.2 points and has interest from a number of small college basketball programs.
Ryan Anders, South Laurel / 6’3, Shooting Guard / 2018
- Anders averaged 10.6 points and 3.2 rebounds per game while shooting over 50% from the field. He will try and lead South Laurel to a state tournament appearance once again after falling short last season.
Corey Johnson, Whitley County / Guard / 2018
- Johnson averaged over 20 points and 3.2 rebounds per game. He and fellow senior Bayley Rice (10 points per game) will try to improve on Whitley County’s 10-21 record from last season.
JJ Ramey, South Laurel / 6’4, Guard / 2019
- Ramey averaged just under 14 points per game as a sophomore at South Laruel last season and is considered a top 15 player in Kentucky’s super talented 2019 class.
Keep An Eye On:
Adam Sizemore, North Laurel / 5’10, Point Guard /2019
- Sizemore will be relied on to pick up the slack left by the graduation of now Eastern Kentucky freshman Peyton Broughton. Sizemore averaged 5.1 points while seeing time running the Jags offense as a sophomore last season.
Tyrese Simmons, Harlan County / Forward / 2018
- Member of last season’s Sweet 16 team. Averaged just over 10 points per game last season. Will be looked upon to pick up the load left by the graduation of D-1 walk-ons Treyce Spurlock and Cameron Carmical.
