SAC Conference Preview: Part 2
Fayetteville Christian School
FCS is a program that is under different leadership with first year head coach David Barco leading the way, the squad returns a few players from last season but overall will be a young team that will be the underdog in many of their matchups throughout the season.
Featured Players: 2019 Guard Charles Page will be a player that is counted on for to score the ball at a solid rate while providing elderly leadership. The rest of the production scoring wise will come from the younger teammates like Bennet Newman. The team will probably experience some growing pains early on but will be competitive with the teams they play once they get comfortable.
Village Christian Academy
VCA has won the NCISAA State Championship two years in a row and would look to win its third this year, but prior to that they will compete for a Conference Championship. Village lost just about all of its team from last year but they bring in some very impressive transfers that will lead the way. With all the new transfers coming in , we expect Village to have some time early that may be a bit difficult so players can mesh but once they fully come together, they can be special.
Featured Players: Senior Guard Junub Chuol from Nebraska will be a huge part of the success of VCA, he can score the ball at an extremely high rate and has MM+ offers. Guard Trevion McCray is a special player in his own right and will have the ball in his hands quite often while 2019 Wing Khuath Gatkuoth who recently picked up a Campbell offer will be able to bring scoring and defense to the squad with his height length and athleticism. The key for Village will be their bench play and what type of production they will get from big man FiiFi Quansah, who has improved in a major way over the summer.
