More Notes From the Triangle Challenge Fall League
NC Cavs 2019 Guard Corey Baldwin (Southern Vance HS): This isn’t the first time we got the chance to see Corey play so we knew what to expect and he did not disappoint. He has a game that is mature beyond his age and seems like he never gets rattled, he can score the ball with ease but looks to get all his teammates going first. He can shoot it well from deep, get to the basket with regularity and makes difficult passes look easy, colleges should be tracking him without a doubt.
Tristars Guard Barak Young – Another player that displayed a high amount of energy, with the mixture of that energy and athleticism, he helped his team in numerous ways, providing extra possessions. His team was somewhat of an underdog in the matchup I saw but he was a huge part of why they were able to play as well as they did.
Juice All-Stars 2019 Forward Isaiah Lewis– He’s what we would call a junkyard dog on the court, he made all the plays that often times get overlooked. He crashed the offensive boards hard which provided extra possessions for his squad, he blocked shots, came up with loose balls, took charges and brought a high level of energy. He finished inside below the rim, and plays the game with a very high motor, one thing about this young man is that he will not be outworked.
NC Skills 2019 Tozian Dunn: Dunn is an enforcer, he bangs inside, gets rebounds, blocks shots and sends opponents to the deck if his team needs him too. It’s always nice to have a player like Tozian on your team when you’re playing against some stiff competition.
NC Skills 2019 Guard Bright Naisen: Got to his spots that he wanted to with ease, he has a very smooth game and was impressive with handling all types of pressure, loves to compete and doesn’t back down from a challenge.
