Florida Top 250 Expo Player Report: Brian Miller (2020)
The East River High point guard has a bright future. He impressed coaches, scouts, and peers wit his playmaking ability.
I caught up with Miller a few days after the expo.
Q: What was your experience like in Daytona at the Prep Hoops Top 250 Expo?
A: I had a good learning experience at the Prep hoops top 250 Expo. There was good competition and good coaches to motivate you to strive for better goals .
Q: Where did you first hear about it?
A: The first time I heard about the Prep hoop expo is when I got a invitation via text to go to the Top 250 at DME.
Q: What was the best thing you learned?
A: l learned how to have a different work ethic than other people and to push my ability to do better when things don’t go my way, and how to change the pace of the game, and getting my teammates involved.
Q: What positive in your game grew? What negative in your game did you notice and try to fix?
A: The positive part of my game that improved is handling the ball under pressure and making the game run through me. The other part of my game that I have been working on is defending and getting more shots up.
Q: Would you recommend the expo to your peers? How come?
A: Yes I would, because it would teach them how to play different positions of the game and give them the exposure that some will need to be a better player and motivate them to keep working!
Q: What is your role looking like this season?
A: My role is to make a name for my school team and set goals for my team. For myself, to become a better player and to make my teammates better players around me . Key word for our team this year is “CONFIDENCE”!!
Miller had an outstanding performance at the expo, showing his ability to run an offense and play tough defense. Brian also displayed his ability to be a vocal leader for a team, he has the skills necessary to have an impressive career and I’m looking forward to seeing his game this season.
