Over the next few days we will give you our “Super Six Projections”, breaking down our picks for the top six players in Kentucky’s 16 regions. Here we breakdown the 9th Region.
9th Region “Super Six” Projections:
- CJ Frederick, Covington Catholic / 6’4 Shooting Guard / 2018
Frederick was a leading 3-point field goal shooter this summer on the adidas Gold Circuit. He committed to Iowa just before the end of the summer and is considered one of the leading candidates to win Kentucky’s Mr. Basketball.
- Jake Walter, Covington Catholic / 6’11 Center / 2018
Playing along side Frederick, Walter adds a nice one-two punch for the Colonels of Covington Catholic. Walter has committed to play at Xavier. He and Frederick also played on the same AAU team together (Indiana Elite).
- Adam Kunkel, Cooper / 6’3 Combo Guard / 2018
Kunkel benefited greatly with a summer playing with Twenty Two Vision on the adidas Gold Circuit. After helping lead Cooper to the state tournament final, he followed it up with a summer that earned him a number of different mid-major scholarship offers. Kunkel committed to play at Belmont just before the school year.

Hall will visit Our Lady of the Lake (NAIA) in Texas this weekend. OLL offered Hall in August. Last season Hall averaged 15 points per game.
